1. Who we are

LV8 is a mobile fitness application designed to help users restart and maintain a consistent training routine.
Each workout grants XP and reinforces regularity — without collecting any health data.

2. Data collected

LV8 only collects the data strictly necessary to operate the service:

• Anonymous technical identifier (random UUID)
• Usage data: sessions, validated sets, XP gained, participation in private leagues
• Technical data: app version, last activity date

LV8 does not collect:

• health or biometric data,
• geolocation data,
• personal identity data (except optional avatar).
  
  

3. Purposes of processing

Data are used solely to:

• display your workout and XP statistics,
• analyze regularity and improve the experience,
• send optional notifications (e.g. gentle reminders after inactivity).
  
  

4. Third-party integrations (Apple HealthKit, Google Fit)

LV8 currently does not access or process any health, biometric, or fitness data from Apple HealthKit or Google Fit.
If future versions enable such integrations, data access will occur only with your explicit consent, and all information will remain local or pseudonymized, in full compliance with Apple’s and Google’s privacy frameworks.
LV8 never sells, shares, or transfers any health data to third parties.

 

5. Legal basis

• Legitimate interest: to ensure app functionality and improvement.
• Explicit consent: for notifications or informational emails (opt-out anytime).
  
  

6. Data retention

Usage data are kept for a maximum of 12 months after your last activity, then automatically deleted.
No data are sold or shared for commercial purposes.

 

7. Security and hosting

Data are hosted on Firebase / Supabase, encrypted with TLS (in transit) and AES (at rest).
Access is strictly limited to the LV8 team.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may at any time request:

• access, rectification, or deletion of your data,
• portability,

9. Sharing and subprocessors

LV8 does not sell your data.
Technical providers (hosting, email tools) may process limited data only on behalf of LV8, under GDPR-compliant agreements.

Local storage may save preferences (language, consent) but never track users across sites.

12. Emails submitted on the landing page

When you leave your email (for beta access, newsletter, or contact):

• Purpose: to inform you of launches, updates, or reply to your message.
• Legal basis: consent (newsletter/beta) or legitimate interest (support request).
• Processing: via GDPR-compliant provider.
• Retention: until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of inactivity.
• Unsubscribe: link in every email or request to support@lv8.app.
